Live Arena Shows

Working in marketing in the radio industry gives you access to career experiences many don't ever see. One of these revolves around live shows. Putting on gigs for artists in workplaces, in quirky venues and other intimate venues is highly rewarding, hard work but great fun. The pinnacle of these music focused activities will always be the arena show.

I have been fortunate to be a part of eight of these and event director for three. The shows involve spinning many plates with internal and external stakeholders, health and safety due care, PR, design, content and generally creating a memorable experience for all involved.

The multi-artist line-ups have provided many highlights for me from being involved in a Little Mix wedding proposal featuring Ed Sheeran, to standing on stage taking a photo of the band I helped form 'The Piccadillys' perform in front of over 15,000 people.

These shows are a true test for any marketer to ensure quality in delivery and to make sure consumers want to come back for more year after year.
