This month the BBC launched a new three-part drama based on the Bram Stoker classic. From the team who created Sherlock (Mark Gatiss and Steven Moffat), Dracula contained three 1hr 30min episodes.
The real eye-catcher was the 48-sheet poster shown below from BBC Creative. The time-lapse of the poster was widely shared and I think it shows some real imagination for how to bring your OOH campaign to life.
During the day the stakes in the poster point to the sinister character and his weakness. But at night a light flicks on and a shadow is cast from the positioning of the stakes of the blood-thirsty Count himself.
It's a shame that these posters were only seen in London and Birmingham, but the sharability of the campaign shows what can happen when something clever is created, people want to share it.
This isn't a review of the show it's to highlight an awesome piece of marketing. But, just to throw in my two pence, the first episode was amazing, second was ok and the conclusion was a big disappointment, boooo!
